The new PLM Alumni Association was incorporated on 16 October 2007, through the efforts of the PLM Scholars Foundation, Inc., four years after the former PLMAA’s registration with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) was revoked on 11 August 2003 for failure to comply with the reportorial requirements. The enthusiasm to re-form the PLMAA was a result of the swift and decisive action by the returning mayor of Manila, Mayor Alfredo S. Lim, to install Atty. Adel A. Tamano as University President. The PLM Alumni Association's set of officers and trustees are composed of highly dedicated and committed professionals from the government and private sectors who selflessly gave their valuable time to the PLMAA in order to revite it and achieve its vision and mission.
